For your convenience, here is a brief introduction to the technology of computers and the Web. We thought it might be helpful to present it in non-geek speak.

Please note that we update these pages quite often, to keep pace with the changing tech world. But some figures may be out of date. The tech principles, however, do not change.

The internet in general and the (World Wide) Web in particular are still not perfect sciences, and trouble comes from wondering whether it's you or the machine that's making mistakes.  It's not always your fault.  We all need the confidence of knowing what should be happening when we press that button.
