 Thorne's grandma and her story are maybe unlikely candidates for club favors. Party indulgence was not her style, although there was always a bottle of cooking sherry in the larder 'for medicinal purposes.' But her imagined goodbye to her husband on a typical cold, dark work morning many years ago as he left for his 6am shift, coupled with an oral folk verse as a memorable chorus, has grown into a serious song favorite for very many people. So we had to expand on a theme.
Here's the big club effort. Grandson hopes that it does Grandma credit and that she might have sung along had she persisted and been around to hear it.
